More shrink jewellry

I am still loving my shrink and there is a program running over at CMIT that I am heading up.

So here's my latest design and the instructions:

-Cut out 12 large circles measuring 3 ¼”, 6 in black and 6 in white

-From the middle of the circles cut a hole measuring 2” in each of the large circles. You will be left with a ring.

-In each ring on either side punch a small hole measuring 1/8” then shrink all rings per manufacturer’s instructions.

-Punch out the 3rd largest heart in the nesting hearts set. Punch 2 holes at the top of the hearts for the jump rings to thread through. Shrink down and immediately press the Letterpress Printing Plate into the shrink before it cools.

-Punch out the smallest blossom in the set in red and shrink down. Attach to the heart with super glue.

-Attach all rings together with the ‘jump rings’ and then to the chain.

Heart necklace made with dies and shrink

I love trying to find many ways of using my dies and you may have noticed that shrink plastic is one of my favourite methods currently.

I cut a heart in shrink plastic and then spritzed it with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist before shrinking down. I then used Judikins Diamond Glaze to give the heart a
3D effect. I used some pretty pearls to finish.

Enjoy,

Wendy X

Baby Girl Card

OK, I haven't gone baby mad this week. It's just that a lovely couple my husband and I know had a little baby girl this week and I had to make a card.

This card is very straight forward to make. Firstly I layered the pink paper onto the card and then cut a circe through the card. I then used a scalloped circle to edge it.

The baby was made using my favourite dog die and her dress was made from a bell.
Lastly a little flower and my new favourite font (Handmade) to finish the card.

Enjoy, Wendy X

Baby Girl Card

I made a baby boy card this week, so as a typical Libran, I had to balance the scales and make a baby girl card.

I love using the little dog die for my babies as they are so cute. I used the Lifestyle Crafts Carousel font so you could see how scrummy this alpha is.

Here's to a lovely sunny Weekend.

Baby Boy Card

As you know I love making baby cards and I was more than happy to make this card for my lovely friend Trish who made me the amazing gluten free muffins.

This card is very simple and relatively quick to make. The background was made by taking a cloud die and chalking around it.

The washing line was made with the trunk of the palm tree from the 'Tropical Splash' release. The clothes were from an older 2X2 set, which are still available.

Enjoy

Designer drinks brollies

Oh how I am enjoying the new Lifestyle Crafts release. Today it is the turn of the brollies (umbrella's).

I thought they would make a classy accompaniment to any summer BBQ and what fun to be able to personalise them for your theme.

I just used one of the flowers from the 'Fresh Start' release to decorate them but the ideas are endless.

Enjoy, Wendy X

Letterpressed Thanks!

I have really started to begin to nail the Letterpress System from Lifestyle Crafts. I really love the large plates that come in the sets.

Today I have used the tile Letterpress Plate and the Hot Pink ink. Always make sure you have enough ink applied to the plate, but not too much that it smudges. You will get perfect results everytime. This coupled with my most favourite font at the moment(Handmade) makes for a pretty little thank you card.

I also wanted to dedicate this card to the lovely Teresa over at CMIT. Since joining the design team in February, I have had such a ball and long may it continue. I just wanted to thank her for believing in me and giving such a huge opportunity.

Enjoy, Wendy X

Funky Flip Flops

OMG, I just love working for the CMIT Design Team. The lovely Teresa who owns the company managed to get one of my favourite old faithful dies, the flip flops. I know she will have them in store really soon too.

I basically cut out the flip flops in shrink plastic. I then stamped on them. I used a flower from the new Tropical Flourish die (DC0147) to create a stamp.

Make sure that you punch all holes before shrinking (these will be holes for the wire to feed through). Once the items have been shrunk down, feed seed beads on to wire and thread through. To finish, add jump rings to attach to a chain.

Enjoy, Wendy X
