Twins baby card

I was commissioned to make another baby card. I really don't mind as I do actually really like making them. Today I have made a card for a lovely lady at work, her cousin had twins. I couldn't wait to try out my new CottageCutz die for this. It's super cute and very easy to assemble.

Hope you enjoy the card as much as I did making it!

Wedding from June 21st

I recently finished a wedding order for the 21st June for a friend at work so I thought I'd share some photos with you. The theme was dark purple and cream and the colours really complemented each other.

I've used a number of different dies, Quickutz, Taylored Expressions, Memory Box, well the list goes on.

Enjoy,

Wendy

Clearly Besotted!!

For the first time in a long time I have found an amazing website with stamps and coordinating dies. I'm not usually a big stamper but there are a lot stamp sets on my list. It's www.clearlybesottedstamps.com

There is a super challenge going on over at their blog this month and this is the first time that I've joined any challenge but I'm so fond of their products so it would be rude not too.

The challenge is 'Anything Goes' so I thought I'd do something different for a change. I had a vase sitting in my cupboard that I've never used so decided to get out my vinyl that has the glass etched effect and decorate my vase.

I used the small Geometric Rose die and dotted these randomly on the vase. I then finished it off with some crystals to make my project sparkle. This vase will now make a good candle holder as it's quite short. I added some red paper inside so that you could see the pattern better!

Enjoy!

Another baby card

I can't get away from making baby cards at the moment but there have been some fab new dies on the market. This one was made using the new MFT Dies.

Another baby card

I was commissioned to make another baby card (which I love making). I just love the little teddy bear die from Cottagecutz and he really finishes the card off. The bib and feet dies are Marianne. The lace squares are Quickutz.

Long time no blog!!

It's been a very long time since I blogged, naughty girl!! Therefore I thought it might be nice to share my latest project with you.

I made this card for a lovely girl at work as her friend had just had a little girl. I have gone over to the dark side and have used some dies for my card that aren't Quickutz. I've used some Marianne dies and the alpha is Noodle Soup (my new favourite). All dies apart from the Quickutz are from Crafts U Love.

Sweet Treats

Today's project is a little thank you card made for a very sweet someone.

Sometimes I forget that I have dies and I just love this little cupcake from the Lifestyle Crafts Sweetheart Release.

Firstly I cut my card black (9cm by 11cm when folded). I then cut another piece of card the same size as the front of the card and covered it with lovely paper. I then punched one of the frame dies in the paper covered card and mounted this on my base card with foam pads to raise slightly.

I cut out the same frame in a larger size and the the smaller frame inside it so that I had a pink border around the design.

Lastly, I punched out flowers and the cupcake and finished the card with a rub on.

Decorated Floral Bag

There is just no stopping me now with my sewing. I brought this gorgeous little black bag from The Craft Barn in Lingfield. I used a few of my favourite Quickutz Dies to decorate the bag too. The thread was We Are Memory Keepers Sew Easy Floss again from The Craft Barn, I just drew a squiggly line on the bag and stitched along it.

Flowery T-Shirt

Today's project is something I made for my little niece Chloe. She is such a cutie pie and this t-shirt says it all. I brought the plain T-Shirt from a well known store and decided to spruce it up a little.

I used my Quickutz Revolution Flowers die to cut out the felt flowers and sewed the bottom flowers to the T-Shirt. I then used a slightly smaller flower from the same die and this was sewn onto the T-shirt with a button.

I made a matching hair-clip using just a plain hair clip from a local store.

Enjoy, Wendy

OMG, I am loving a bit of sewing, so much so that I made some more bunting. This time for my niece Hannah. I used similar dies to those used on the other bunting. However, this time I used my Quickutz 'Blue Sky' alphabet for the letters. The hearts are approx 5.5", so a very nice size. I can't wait to sew some more projects.

Beautiful Bunting!

I was inspired by my last card to make some pretty bunting for my Niece Natasha's bedroom. This is just a taster but I'm hoping to finish it this week.

The bunting will last and last as it's made from felt. I used my Quickutz dies to cut out the shapes and I was really pleased with the way they cut. It was like a knife through butter. The hearts are approx 4.5", and they are bigger than they look in the picture.

Dies are available from Creating Everlasting Memories / Creating Memories in Time.

Enjoy, Wendy!

Up-coming birthdays

I have my 3 adorable nieces birthdays coming up in the next month or so. Here is card number one and it is for my ballet fanatical niece Hannah.

I sued the new Lifestyle Crafts Pennant Punches to make the Birthday bunting at the top of the card. This pennant die is fab as it cuts our 8 pennants in one roll through the machine.

I used a corrugated cad for the floor. I thought it resembled a resembled a dance studio floor.

The ballet dancers were made using numerous dies, but I shall list them all for you.

Dies are available, as always from Creating Everlasting Memories and Creating Memories in Time. Links to the right of my blog!

The Big 50

Hi, my project to today is a card for a special 50th birthday. The design was very much inspired by a fellow crafter Emma Lai.

To make the awning on the top of the card I used the Nesting Scalloped Rectangle dies from Lifestyle Crafts. You cut between each scallop and then arrange the different colours on a trip of card before fixing to the acetate.

Celebrate!

Todays project is a quick and easy to make birthday card. I brought this lovely jade coloured card a while ago and I just love using it with white card to make it stand out.

I used the 'Spring Flowers' die from tthe Lifestyle Crafts latest release to make the centre piece on the card. I used one of the lovely nesting frame dies to layer the card up.

You may notice the little tag in the corner. It was a die that came with the 'Icing rub ons' starter set, quite some time ago. I think they are still available directly from Quickutz. I did my usual and brought many of the rub ons so I still have quite a stash!!

Simple Wedding Card

Today's project has been made using the new Lifestyle Crafts Release. I picked the butterfly as it is so beautiful and thought it would make a lovely wedding card. It could be an invitation, a congratulations or a special birthday card.

I cut out the butterfly twice, one in cream and once in silver mirri card. I then offset the wings so they effectively have a shadow.

Dies are available from Creating Memories in Time and Creating Everlasting Memories. Links to the right of my blog. Also if you enter the competition on the CMIT blog this month, you could win all the news dies from the latest release.

Birthday card - New Lifestyle Carfts CHA Releases

Today I have made a simple birthday card using some of the new dies for the Lifestyle Crafts CHA Release.

All of the new border dies in the release are absolutely stunning and today I am using one of the borders from the Brocade set.It is so elegant and chic. I also used the flower (again!) from the Treat Box Die :-). The white base of the card was pearlised white card that I put through a crimper.

I don't know if you can remember back far enough to the Quickutz Icing Rub ons. Well I brought a ton of those things when they were first released and I still have loads leftover. Anyway, I used the 'Happy Birthday' rub on from the starter set. I really wish that they would bring these icing rub ons back.

More from CHA - Butterfly Card

Today I have been using the Lifestyle Crafts square punchies die from the new CHA release.

I have to say I was a little naughty as I cut the die in half. However, I got a brilliant effect as when cut in half, the die was the right size for my card. Having used the square punchies, I put a sheet of acetate on the back of the card so that my butterflies could rest on it.

I also used the Whimsy Border die to outline the design.

Dies will be available over the coming few months from Creating Memories in Time and Creating Everlasting Memories. Links to the right of my blog!
